Terminal 1 is open again
Closed for several years, Terminal 1 has been rebuilt as part of the airport's expansion and is reopening in stages: today it handles a handful of regional flights a day and nothing else. It is intended for charter and regional aviation with seven gates, so most scheduled passengers will not use it. The paper immigration form no longer exists for air arrivals
Airlines have stopped distributing the paper FMM. You now get a passport stamp, and the entry record is digital, downloaded via a QR code — from the kiosk receipt if you use one of the automated lanes, or from the signage at immigration. Sunwing flights are now operated by WestJet
WestJet completed its integration of Sunwing Airlines in May 2025. Sunwing Vacations packages still exist, but the aircraft and the operating airline are WestJet — which is what you should look for at the airport. Airport parking costs more than the figures online say
