What changes on 3 November

Of the 799 flights on the airport's board this week, none went to Acapulco or came from it. The domestic board reaches 18 Mexican cities, and the trip to the Pacific coast of Guerrero means a connection, usually through Mexico City (129 flights this week).

From Tuesday 3 November 2026, Viva Aerobus flies Cancun–Acapulco nonstop, twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with an Airbus A320. The route is back after two and a half years: its last flights were in April 2024.

VB 6399Acapulco 17:25Cancun 20:55about 2 h 30 min

The clock says an hour and a half; the flight takes two and a half. Cancun runs on UTC-5 all year and Acapulco on UTC-6, so flying west you land at a time that reads an hour early, and you give that hour back on the way home.

On 12 October 2026 the selling systems carry these times for departures between 3 and 28 November 2026. Dates after that had not been loaded yet; check them with the airline before planning a December trip around this flight.

Which terminal, and how much time to leave

Viva Aerobus flies out of Terminal 2 at Cancun: all 211 Viva flights on this week's board used it. Terminal 2 handles about half of everything that moves here, and it is where the domestic flights concentrate.

A 15:25 departure sits just after the busiest hour of the day: the 14:00 hour had 57 departures this week, the 15:00 hour 31. It is a domestic flight, so check-in and security are the shorter process; two hours before departure is comfortable.

Coming back: a quiet hour to land

Arrivals into Cancun pile up between 10:00 and 15:00 — 52 flights landed in the 10:00 hour this week. The 20:00 hour had 18. VB 6399 lands at 20:55, when the halls are emptying, and as a domestic arrival it skips immigration altogether.

From the terminal, the hotel zone is 25 to 60 minutes depending on where your hotel sits along the strip, and longer towards Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Book the transfer for a while after the landing time, not for the landing time itself: with a checked bag, allow 30 to 45 minutes between touchdown and the curb.
