Sorted by length, because that is the decision. A one-hour show and a twelve-hour archaeological day are not the same kind of choice, and which ones are even possible depends on when your flight lands and leaves.
Durations are the full day the operator publishes, door to door. Prices are the ones the booking engine actually charges, per person, starting from the cheapest option — not the «from» figure printed on a page, which in four cases was up to $40 below what the same engine charges. A dash means the operator is not showing a bookable rate right now, and we would rather say that than print a number you cannot pay.
What fits on your arrival and departure days
The two days everyone wastes. Landing at Cancun takes 35 to 100 minutes from touchdown to walking out, and an international departure wants you at the terminal three hours early — so an arrival day is worth about nine usable hours and a departure day about eight, minus the drive each way. Here is what actually fits inside that.

Durations are the ones the operators publish for the full day, plus half an hour of driving each way from the Hotel Zone. Anything in the Riviera Maya adds another hour each way, which is what turns a «tight» into a «no». Check your own flight before you commit to a twelve-hour day.
Getting there, and back
Most of these include pickup from the Hotel Zone, and that is the detail worth checking before you book: a tour that does not include it turns into two taxi fares, and the ones down the Riviera Maya add an hour of road in each direction that nobody counts until the day arrives.
If you are staying away from the Hotel Zone, check the pickup area. Most pickups cover Cancun and Puerto Morelos. From Playa del Carmen or Tulum the same tour often leaves from a different meeting point, at a different time.

Can I book a tour for the day I land in Cancun?
Some of them. Getting out of the airport takes 35 to 100 minutes, so a mid-morning landing leaves around nine usable hours once the drive each way is counted. That fits an evening show, a dinner cruise, an ATV day or a catamaran; it does not fit a twelve-hour archaeological day at Chichén Itzá.
Do tours include hotel pickup from Cancun airport?
From your hotel, usually yes; from the airport itself, no. Tours pick up at hotels in Cancun and along the coast, not at the terminal, so you need to get to your hotel first. That is why the arrival-day question is really a question about your transfer time.
How long does a day trip from Cancun take?
From one hour for an evening show to twelve for Chichén Itzá, which is the longest on this coast. The nature parks — Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor — run nine to ten hours. A catamaran to Isla Mujeres is about eight. Add half an hour of driving each way from the Hotel Zone, and an hour each way for anything in the Riviera Maya.
